I am a gay-positive authorised and accredited Civil Marriage, Naming and General Celebrant based in Kenmore in the western suburbs of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, and I am happy to perform ceremonies at the venue of your choice anywhere in the Greater Brisbane area, including Ipswich,  Redcliffe,  Redlands and Logan.

I specialise in (and delight in) providing custom-created same sex commitment ceremonies, baby naming ceremonies, reaffirmation of commitment vows, housewarming and end-of-relationship ceremonies for gay and lesbian couples, celebrating and reflecting who you are and your relationship.

A ceremony takes a very short time - and when it is over all that remains is your memories some artefacts, and  your photographs. So, I spare no effort to ensure that your ceremony is unique, reflecting who you are, your values and beliefs, and that your ceremony is inclusive, and crafted with creativity and imagination - a real celebration. Every ceremony I perform is individually written to your specifications.

"Jennifer showed genuine support for the Gay community. The ceremony was thoughtfully planned, with the contents being written so well and such a professional approach to all"

My goal is that your ceremony will linger in the minds of everyone present as a real mark of the occasion. I take time to get to know you, so that together we fulfil your ideals of what your ceremony should be, always bearing in mind that your commitment ceremony is the sacred space in which you make the public vows that are an expression of your love for each other and your baby naming ceremony celebrates your love as members of  family as well as your hopes, dreams and wishes for your child. I pay just as much attention to detail for all types of ceremonies.

The role of a civil celebrant is to conduct a range of civil ceremonies. In a celebrant civil ceremony you are empowered. Nothing is imposed on you. I ensure that all of the ceremonies I perform are inclusive and respectful of all parties. While a civil ceremony is secular in focus, in Australia there are no prohibitions on including content of a religious nature (for example music, prayers, readings or blessings) if you wish to do so.

"It was wonderful to have a celebrant who is genuinely supportive of the Gay Community"
